Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has stated that in order for there to be a lasting Cyprus settlement, security concerns from both sides would have to be taken into account, he told local newspaper Phileleftheros in comments published on Sunday.
Cavusoglu stressed that for Turkish Cypriots, Ankara’s role would be critical, while also stating that the issues of security and guarantees would be discussed at the end of the Cyprus negotiations in a five-party conference.
