Solution with Turkish army remaining ‘unorthodox’


Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides says it would be ‘unorthodox’ to talk about security in Cyprus in the event of the Cyprus solution if the Turkish forces are still rooted on the island.

Speaking to state radio on Tuesday morning following a busy last few days in which crunch meetings involving President Nicos Anastasiades took place at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Kasoulides said it was imperative to convince the UN Security Council and Turkey in removing the Turkish military on the island.
