An EU and UN backed booklet on cultural heritage of Cyprus has created a political storm after it referred to towns and villages in both Greek and Turkish.
The booklet, which came into circulation back in January and which was first reported to by the Green Party MP George Perdikis, claims to offer an overview of the work of the Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage in Cyprus.
The booklet is written in English and has been compiled by both Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriots. Apart from showcasing the works and restorations being done, it also refers to locations in their original Greek names and in their Turkish names.
