One of the most crucial aspects of the Cyprus problem, territorial adjustments, will dominate the next leaders meeting of Nicos Anastasiades and Mustafa Akinci scheduled for September 1.
Without going into details of the negotiations government spokesman Nicos Christodoulides identifies the core issues, hints at possible trade offs and stresses the EU dimension of the divisive issue of guarantees.
What would you say are the main challenges in the current talks and what would be the best way to deal with them?
All chapters are discussed in an inter-dependent manner, as provided for in the Joint Declaration of February 11, 2014. Some of these chapters are more important, or more sensitive for Greek Cypriots, such as Property, Territory, Citizenship and Guarantees, while this also applies to Turkish Cypriots, for example with regard to Governance.
