In 2016 a proposed UN-brokered Cyprus reunification plan will most probably be put to referenda but a big question mark remains over the date and result, insiders told the Cyprus Weekly.
“We will have to go to referenda, there is no way back, but not by May as widely rumoured, it’s way too soon. As for the outcome, that is a big question mark,” an inside source said.
“The first months of 2016 will be quite defining; we will have a full picture of where we exactly stand (on Cyprus peace talks). All data should be there for evaluation,” added the insider.
