The regime in the occupied areas passed its 2016 budget on Friday, which totals a little over 4 billion Turkish lira (€1.36 billion), in a majority vote at the so-called parliamentary plenum that followed two weeks of discussions.
Among the issues discussed in the run-up to the budget vote, Turkish Cypriot media reported, were relations with Turkey, the water pipeline from Turkey, revenues, taxation and employment in the ‘civil service’.
