Nikos Kotzias: Cautious optimism over Cyprus solution


Greek Foreign Minister Nicos Kotzias on Monday expressed cautious optimism over the outcome of the UN-brokered Cyprus peace process aiming to reunite the divided island.

And he made clear that the immediate withdrawal of Turkey’s occupation troops from the northern part of Cyprus are withdrawn immediately before a settlement can be approved.

Kotzias was talking to journalists after talks at the foreign ministry in Nicosia with his Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides.
