The monument in honor of the “missing” Ahmet Mustafa was inaugurated yesterday, Saturday 5/9/2015 in the Turkish cemetery, at Mari village. Mrs Leyla Kiralp built this monument to honor both her husband, and also all the missing people from both communities, of the Cyprus tragedy.
A lot of people, who appreciate the work of Mrs Leyla, from both communities attended the ceremony, including officials like MPs, and ministers.
Small speeches were given , from Mrs Leyla , also from the investigating journalist Mrs Sevgul Ulutag, Mrs Christina Pavlou Solomi , and Mr Niyazi Kizilyurek. Sevgi Kiralp the son of Leyla, translated the speeches from Turkish to Greek and vice versa.
On the monument there is inscription which says : “ You were missing, but your absence was always inside us”.
