Military parades in the north will be a thing of the past soon

Turkish Cypriot daily Kibris Postasi newspaper (13.07.16) citing information close to the “government” writes that the military parades in the breakaway regime will be a thing of the past soon.

The paper argues that this year’s military parade and “standard ceremonies” for the celebration of the Turkish invasion on July 20 will be the last ones. It goes on writing that the cost of the parades as well as the reaction of the public for the roads that are closed for rehearsals, made the “government” to start thinking of new ways for “celebrating”.

Referring to the same sources, the paper writes that changes will be made in other events connected with the “celebrations”, like the laying of wreaths in monuments and the receptions organized.
