Courage: A keyword in bicommunal business

As Abraham Lincoln once said, “It often requires more courage to dare to do right than to fear to do wrong”.

Indeed, courage is perhaps the missing ingredient in the limited business relations between the two communities on the island, according to Turkish Cypriot businessman, Esin Esmen.

Esmen is one of the first entrepreneurs to launch business activity on both sides of divided Nicosia.

Starting a business involves risks and fears by definition. And when you combine these uncertainties with capital investment in a small market in a divided country, it really takes courage to say the least.
