The Association for Historical Dialogue & Research (AHDR) announced its upcoming international conference organised in cooperation with the International Commission for the History and Theory of Historiography (ICHTH). The conference will take place between 18-20 December at the Home for Cooperation in the Nicosia’s Buffer Zone.

The conference aims at opening up a dialogue between academic scholars and public history practitioners. During the two days, participants from Cyprus, Italy, Germany, Japan, Holland, Greece, Turkey, Belgium and the USA will reflect on issues of conflict, reconciliation, memory and historiography in divided societies, and discuss a range of innovative public history products.

The conference is being organised under the ‘Home for Cooperation’ project, which benefits from a €591,000 grant from Norway Grants. The aim of the project is to support the operation and sustainability of the Home for Cooperation, which shall contribute to the bridge-building between the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities in Cyprus.
